The simplest and most effective way to track your workouts is by keeping a journal. That can be notebook, or a fitness app or a spreadsheet.
Step 1: Write the date and your body-weight at the top of the page.
Step 2: Write out your plan workout routine for the day or track it in the fitness app. You want to have the Exercise Name, Weight used, Sets & Reps.
Step 3: Record your tally marks as you complete your workout sets.
Step 4: Keep Specific Notes about what worked and failed.
These additional Steps are other options that you can add to your journal.
Step 5: Define how you want to achieve your goals.
Step 6: Add a food diary in your journal.
Step 7: Sit down and review your journal once a week to identify things that are working for you and things that may need to be adjusted or changed.
Step 8: Set aside several pages for notes.
