We know that it’s important to exercise on a regular basis. Exercise is essential for cardiovascular health, muscle toning, bone health, weight management, quality sleep, improved mood, increased energy and longevity. So why don’t more people engage in exercise knowing it’s so beneficial?
Scheduling the time, having a plan and having accountability (a workout buddy!) are keys for making exercise a regular habit.
Exercising with friends and / or in a group setting (classes) is fun, provides motivation and support. Exercising with like-minded people – those with similar health goals – is motivating. Fitness friends can introduce new types of exercise and can change up an, otherwise, boring routine. A fitness community encourages us to show up and push harder!
So, find a group of friends or fitness enthusiasts, and begin incorporating regular exercise into your daily habits!
